We are very proud of our select staff and are looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented individual to join our growing team!As a *Class A/B CDL Commercial Front Load Driver*, you will be responsible for the collection and hauling of waste debris from Commercial customers. You will also be expected to safely drive and operate your service vehicle at all times*! **Duties and Responsibilities:*· Follow safe operating practices· Operate automatic / semi-automatic lifting devices, raising the refuse container for dumping contents into open truck bodies in accordance with company safety policies and procedures· Provide prompt, courteous and complete services to customers· Perform complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and post-trip cleaning, including, but not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls· Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure that it is operationally ready at all times· Report any vehicle operating malfunctions, and/or needed repairs to your supervisor immediately· Operate trucks in congested city, highway and disposal areas· 100% on-the-job training· Be familiar with DOT regulations regarding the safe operation and required DOT documentation (including the daily Driver's Log) required while driving his/her truck· Communicate with and take direction from office personnel dispatching· Perform other job-related duties as assigned*Qualifications and Skills:*· Some knowledge of hydraulic systems· Ability to work independently with minimum oversight· Ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures· Accurately complete daily logs, reports, and vehicle inspections· Basic understanding of OSHA Lock-Out/Tag-Out program and all OSHA Fire protection regulations*Requirements:*· Must be eligible to work in the U.S· Must possess a valid NYS CDL with no suspensions or revocations due to a moving violation or accident within two years and no DUI (driving under the influence) convictions within four years· Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or valid exemption· Must pass a background investigation and drug screen· Must have a minimum of two years satisfactory driving experience and a clean driving record· Must pass a written road test evaluation*Why Work for Syracuse Haulers?*· $23-$26 / hour based on experience· *Company-Paid Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance!*· 401k· Paid Holidays· Paid Time Off, Sick Time and Overtime· Paid Training· Opportunities for Growth· Closed Sundays*Syracuse Haulers Waste Removal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.*Job Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* AD&D insurance* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid orientation* Paid time off* Paid training* Parental leave* Professional development assistance* Referral program* Retirement plan* Uniform allowance* Union benefits* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Home daily* OvertimeExperience:* CDL Driving: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)* Air Brake Endorsement (Preferred)* CDL B (Required)Ability to Commute:* Georgetown, NY (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Georgetown, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
