Class A Cdl - Truck And Trailer Driver

Bollinger Motors is seeking a full-time Truck and Trailer CDL-A commercial driver to operate various Class 2,3, and 4 pickup trucks to load, strap and secure vehicles to haul in our various enclosed single place, open GN flat bed and low boy trailers in the support of moving prototype, proving ground, marketing and events Bollinger B4 trucks to various local locations in Michigan, but also long haul runs to various locations around the country.
?This position reports to the Shop Lead.
This is an in-person role at the company's Oak Park, MI headquarters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Transport of non-running and running prototype vehicles utilizing various trailersTransport disabled vehicles, properly retrieving and securing the vehicles and situation.Loading and driving of a Class 4 box truck for local runs and deliveries.Proving ground support, waiting at test events on standby, traveling odd hours to make events, etc.Loading and unloading of trailers with oversized or heavy loads and ballasted electric vehicles.Observing all posted traffic signs, drive safely with flow of traffic and comply with all applicable local traffic laws.Arranging hotels and food while on trips, must be self-sufficient and able to change plans quickly.Safely and secularly load and unload and strap the vehicles or load properly.Planning routes and managing vehicle transportation work ordersFollowing any procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects.Complying with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulationsWill handle 70% local runs and will include travel to different states throughout the country delivering the vehicles to, and supporting special events, shows, marketing events and photo shoots.Drive safely, courteous and represent Bollinger Motors in a professional matter.

A high school diploma or equivalentA valid Class A commercial driver's license and have an excellent driving record.3+ years of recent,?verifiable Class A driving (CDL A) experience of?hauling trailersMinimum 3+ years of heavy load and oversized load hauling experienceMinimum of 3+ years of mountain and winter driving experienceMust be able to pass a DOT physical examination and criminal background checkAbility and willingness to travel extended periods approximately 30%?Extensive knowledge of vehicle weight displacement, limitations, and capabilities, when operating a lowboy trailerKnowledge of applicable laws related to the operation of the vehicle to ensure all necessary licensing and permitting is in complianceGood sense of direction with the ability to read maps and follow and take driving directionAbility to safely operate vehicle in a variety of environmental and weather conditions for extended periodsStrong verbal and written communication skills "Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
