Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Job title: Class B CDL DriverPay: Starting at $23 - $27 an hour, depending on experience.Schedule: Monday-Friday starting at 6am and working until 3pm, or until all loads for the day have been delivered.Location: Bend, OregonAt PARR, our Drivers are essential to fulfilling the needs of our customers by making sure they are receiving their orders on-time and in great condition. The ideal driver is someone who is driven to maintain safety regulations and above and beyond customer service.The Driver reports directly to the Yard Manager and interacts daily with customers, dispatchers, receivers and load-builders.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredClass B CDL or higherMust be 21 years old or overCurrent DOT Medical CardAcceptable driving recordKnowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policyAbility to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experienceOpen and transparent communicationFamiliarity with GPS devices or map applicationsDriving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferredDuties and ResponsibilitiesSafely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicleLegally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roadsComplete mileage and fuel usage reportsDemonstrates commitment to on time and in full deliveriesLearns and uses route planning and optimizationFollow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each deliveryPerform daily pre-trip and post trip inspections of all equipmentEstablish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors and vendorsPerform required safety audit of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policyPromptly report all accidents/incidentsAnnually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policyFinds productive work to do in down timeKeeps truck supplied, organized, and cleanComes to work professionally attiredChecks load for accuracyProactively manages job site conditions for next delivery and communicates with othersAlways provides required paperwork and scanning for dispatchSeeks to learn products and their application for the end usersDemonstrates legal and thorough knowledge of tie down rules and regsUnderstands weight, height, and length limitsEnsures that all material transported on the truck has either an invoice or Material Returns FormLearning best practices related to efficient loading, strapping, and drivingThis is considered a safety-sensitive position. Drivers will be working at a lumber yard and making deliveries at jobsites in all weather conditions.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 90 lbs.Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to sit for an extended period of timeAbility to stoop, bend and walkWe know that without great people, we can't be a great company.
