This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, state safety inspections, and responding to road service calls. Your work ensures safe, reliable transportation for the community.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on medium- to heavy-duty vehicles.Assist senior mechanics with major repairs and overhauls.Conduct state safety inspections and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.Respond to road calls for disabled vehicles, performing minor on-site repairs or arranging towing as needed.Maintain a clean, safe workspace and complete accurate documentation of work performed.What You Bring:Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year(s) of experience in heavy-duty vehicle repair (vocational training may substitute).Skills: Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues, knowledge of vehicle maintenance and tools, and adherence to safety protocols.Certifications (or ability to obtain): CDL Class B, DOT Medical Card, PA Inspection License, AC 609 Certification, and ASE certifications.Availability: Flexibility with shifts, overtime, and emergency response needs.Tools: Must provide personal hand tools.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in varying environmental conditions.Why This Opportunity?This is your chance to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment where your skills and growth are valued.
