Under the general supervision of a site supervisor, this position is the front-line staff member at a Cultural Arts facility.
This position receives registrations and ticketing requests and fees; counts, balances, and reports all financial transactions; makes daily, weekly and monthly settlement of monies collected utilizing RecTrac or related computer software.
Outstanding customer service, reception, cashier duties, and other administrative support will be required.
Answers telephone and operates office machines such as personal computer, typewriter, adding machine and copy machine.
Performs related duties as required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
General clerical experience is a must.
A comparable amount of training/education may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Knowledge of business English, spelling, arithmetic, office practices and procedures and personal computers.
Skills in typing accurately from rough draft at 35 cwpm.
Experience with Rec Trac or other similar software preferred.
Ability to interact effectively with the public (adults and children).
Legible handwriting.
Dependable and self-motivated.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Sedentary position with the ability to talk, hear, see, read, handle or feel objects and controls and perform occasion light moving up to 10 pounds.
The noise level in this environment varies depending on the Cultural Arts venue assignment location.
Work Days/Hours : Monday - Sunday hours vary between 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
No more than 25 hours per week.
May include some holidays.
