THE POSITION The PA Department of Transportation is currently searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 for the District Office in Uniontown.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will be responsible to obtain, organize, interpret, and type materials and technical data as required.
You will also acquire knowledge of construction activities and technology and offer support services to the Construction Unit, the Construction Support Services Unit, and the Assistant District Executive for Construction.
The CA2 in this position also functions as the backup to the Assistant District Executive's Clerical Assistant 3.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment.
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements: This position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
