10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (30 min unpaid lunch)
*Summer hours may vary depending on program need between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Occasional early evening support may be required for special events.
General Purpose of Job:
Community Education is seeking an ESP with diverse skills.
Candidates must possess strong clerical skills including extensive understanding of computer programs like Word, Excel, and database functioning.
The candidate must be comfortable greeting customers and problem solving, answering phones, and skilled at working with a diverse population.
In this role, the ideal candidate will be able to prioritize assignments based upon program need, be detailed and able to keep and track records, have excellent math skills and be reliable.
In addition, candidates must have a positive attitude, be willing to work as part of a team, and be flexible and timely with daily assignments.
Responsibilities: Support registrations for programs utilizing the following mechanisms: online database, phone, mail-in forms, drop off, in person service and fax.
Generate and distribute attendance forms/rosters on a regular and timely basis. Receive, monitor, enter and communicate all enrollment and last-minute registrations to appropriate parties. Support enrichment program scheduling, implementation, and communication needs.
Support tracking, distribution, updating and timely recycling of marketing materials.
Support implementation of marketing using a variety of tools including mailings, school flyers, posters, online tools. Provide excellent customer service, answer questions/concerns pertaining to Community Education and Osseo Area Schools with a focus on Targeted Services and enrichment; receive incoming calls from students, parents, instructors, agencies, etc. Maintain confidentiality. Understand and follow all district and program policies, protocols and processes. Receive and maintain accurate attendance records. Provide front reception desk break coverage, and/or cover if necessary when an absence requires.
Serve as a main support and phone contact for enrichment and Targeted Services programs.
Support special events and programs (as needed - set-up, registration, event support, customer needs) which occur on select weekends or evenings.
Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. General office/clerical skills Detail oriented MS Office Word/Excel/Database skills Ability to organize and prioritize work Excellent customer service skills serving diverse populations Ability to create reports and maintain excellent records Teamwork and collaborative skills with a problem-solving focus Salary: View Classification I (1) salary grid on page 4, section 2, and classification, page 5, section 2 on Educational Support Professional contract
