Job Title: Clerical Support / Data Entry Representative
Job Description
The Clerical Support is responsible for processing and batching checks and other payment documents received through a lockbox service.
This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments for various clients, typically within a banking or financial services environment.
Responsibilities
+ Open, sort, and organize incoming mail containing checks and payment documents.
+ Accurately batch checks and payment documents according to client specifications and prepare them for further processing.
+ Enter payment information into the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
+ Perform quality checks to ensure all batches are processed correctly and meet required standards.
+ Operate and maintain processing equipment, such as scanners and sorting machines.
+ Maintain detailed records of processed batches, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
+ Respond to client inquiries regarding lockbox details and resolve any issues related to payment processing.
+ Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies, ensuring the security and confidentiality of client information.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Typing skills
+ 6 Months of data entry experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Clerical skills.
Work Environment
The position is based in Malden, MA.
The team consists of over 20 people working on batching and data entry.
The working hours are from 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
The work environment offers room to grow within the organization into other roles.
