Job Title: BEAR CLAW CLERK (Age 21+) Department: F&B Reports To: Deli & Concessions Supervisors and Manager Rate of Pay: $11.00/hr + Tips Shift: Full-Time or Part-Time, Seasonal Positions Variable AM/PM shifts Sunday through Saturday Weekends and holidays required SUMMARY Responsible for creating an exceptional Sundance experience by providing consistent, friendly, professional, and timely service of food and beverages in Deli and Concessions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or promotions for guest awareness.
Demonstrate complete knowledge of menu items and ingredients to educate guests and make recommendation.
Assist guests with inquiries in a timely manner and with a cheerful disposition.
Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests.
Develop, lead, maintain, and enhance guest relations through personalized experience and unscripted guest interactions.
Have fun at work and display that spirit to our guests.
Share the Sundance story of environmental commitment and land preservation with guests as the opportunity arises.
Seek out ways to provide additional assistance and service to all guests, co-workers and management.
Apply reasoning to variety of situations resulting in successful outcomes for co-workers and guest.
Exhibit excellent communication skills.
Read, write and communicate verbally in English.
Take phone orders ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery or pick up.
Input the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
Keep composure and maintain service standards when dealing with guests complaints to achieve a high level of guest recovery.
Perform basic math to accurately manage till, point of sale transactions, inventory, etc.
Accurately handle money in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Execute food and beverage service to guests ensuring all Sundance standards for quality, recipes, measurements, preparation, and presentation are met.
Ensure safety measures and health code standards for food and beverage handling are upheld.
Consistently provides quality beverages for all guests.
Transport trays/plates throughout the work space which may weigh up to 40 pounds.
Deliver food and beverage items to guests.
Demonstrate a complete understanding of all applicable laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages in Utah. (As dictated by Beverage Department and State and local laws).
Serve hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold.
Exhibit responsible service of alcoholic beverages in accordance to state laws, policies and procedures.
Knowledge of beverages (i.e. beers, wines, liquors, etc.) with ability to communicate with guests and staff.
Remain up-to-date on Hotel current events and the hours of operation of all food and beverage outlets.
Ensure that recycling is available and effective at in Deli and Concessions outlets.
Assist guests with recycling as needed.
Perform opening & closing side work duties on a daily basis.
Bus tables and ensure tables are reset in a timely manner and to Sundance standard.
Complete required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries.
Clean common areas and prepare it for the day's operations.
Ensure that the area is always clean and in good repair, with responsibility for informing Management as needed for maintenance and/or cleaning assistance.
Maintain cleanliness of assigned station.
Ensure that floor is kept dry, to prevent slips and falls.
Stock items in proper location.
Work in required uniform and shoes as detailed in departmental policies.
Maintain a safe and sanitary workplace.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures through performance and decision making.
Exhibit a passion for the industry and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position, for example: minimize waste, recycle, conserve energy, purchase and use sustainable products, educate co-workers/guests on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar environmental ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats, car-pool with colleagues and coworkers to minimize carbon emissions. All employees are invited to participate in environmental or Sundance Preserve sponsored events.
DRESS CODE Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. As representatives of Sundance all employees including mangers are expected to be in compliance with the Dress Code determined for his/her department as defined in the job description or follow the standards below.
In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Employees are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted.
Men's shirts must be tucked in.
Pants/shirts must be clean and pressed.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mtn. Ops.)
Fashion sneakers are allowed within department approved parameters.
If your department allows t-shirts, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.
If your department allows baseball caps, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.
No beanies.
Employees working in retail outlets may wear t-shirts and caps that are sold in their area if no uniform is provided.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
