You are: An expert strategic advisor who has grown successfully within a software company or consultancy firm and has deep healthcare industry knowledge leading clients through complex initiatives to digitally transform their business. You understand critical issues facing healthcare payers today, and can translate those issues to future actions. You are the glue of client relationships, a trusted client advocate who helps unleash the power of Cognizant to our clients by bringing them data-driven insights, new ideas, industry expertise, and end-to-end solutions from across our ecosystem. You are commercially inclined and drive financial performance for your accounts with sales, revenue, and profitability while maintaining high client satisfaction.
The work: As a Client Partner, use your track record of success to contribute toward commercial growth and rapid business expansion for your assigned accounts. Own the end-to-end account activities including the overall account P&L and managing senior client relationships. You are able to communicate effectively and manage relationships with both Business and IT executives and Innovation leaders.
Responsible for client relationships, sales, delivery, and account management partnering with clients to create business value. Grasp the challenges clients are facing, offer solutions, and describe the value of digital transformation in terms of business outcomes. Drive profitable sales growth by developing a robust, long-term pipeline of opportunities to ensure the sustainability of Cognizant's business. Healthcare Payer Practice Shape solutions for our clients by creating opportunities and making the connection between the client's strategic priorities and Cognizant's offerings, solutions, and people to address these priorities. Manage contract negotiations and lead creative financial and contractual constructs.
Accurately forecast against your accounts backlog and pipeline. Manage client satisfaction and ensure service delivery expectations are met, in line with client expectations. Bring together the right team and lead account planning across the account team. Serve as a trusted client advisor. Create a solid business network within the client and seek opportunities to create connections outside of the client to further enhance relationships. Build and leverage a deep understanding of both the industry and market in which the client operates, as well as an intimate knowledge of the client's business to influence the client's business strategies. Promote evidence-based business decisions by blending in business data and domain expertise to discover new insights. Required qualifications and experience: Minimum 10+ years in a client facing role or account leadership role for healthcare payer information technology and/or professional services. Experience of leading diverse teams, experience of cultivating and collaborating in a multi-cultural environment. Strong experience with the global service delivery model. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. In-depth understanding of business problems - healthcare payer information technology platforms, and services solutions. A strong performance track record of leading different portfolios-ranging from sales, new sales, programs and existing business. Ability to navigate a large organization, work in a multifaceted matrix and have the power of persuasion through content and confidence. Ability to lead a portfolio P&L of at least $35/40+ million dollars, including reporting and metric assessment for the account. Experience in the healthcare payer information technology landscape, business drivers, and challenges. Ability to travel up to 40% - MUST reside in the Eastern/Central US! (local candidates only please!) Preferred Qualifications MS or MBA degree preferred. Proven ability to contribute to new business development efforts and to lead and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Must be detail oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments. Demonstrable problem-solving abilities with the aptitude to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications. Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments and technical and non-technical audiences. Along with a competitive salary, Cognizant offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is between $154,500.00 - $178,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
