Cope Private Wealth (copepw.com) is seeking a Client Service Associate for our financial planning firm in Birmingham, AL. We believe that financial planning is a collaborative process and have found rapport is the single biggest determinant of a successful financial planning relationship. We only take clients that we can work well with – we don't have an asset minimum for new clients, but we do have a personality minimum. Our firm is a continuing supporter of COOSA Riverkeeper, Preschool Partners, and O'Neal Cancer Center non-profit organizations.
The Client Service Associate will report directly to our Founder and Lead Advisor Pat Cope and assist with a variety of client service and administrative tasks. We are seeking a CSA that can help us serve our clients in their individual goals in the best way possible. This is a full time position, with flexible hours.
Salary and Benefits Salary will be $55,000 - $70,000 based on experience Healthcare through BCBS 401(k) with employer matching with 3% safe harbor Flexible hours Variety – no two days will be the same and you will be involved in many areas of the business Duties and Responsibilities include: Prepare client meeting agendas, notes, and documents needed for client meetings Assist in the maintenance of the firm's CRM – Redtail Process meeting notes, update contact management database, and assign and execute follow-up tasks Process funds requests, account applications, account transfers and any other client/account related needs through Schwab Handle client issues and requests Answer the phone and greet clients as they come into the office Provide administrative support to the firms Advisors Coordinate client meeting scheduling, including in-person and video meetings Client billing Assist where needed – we are a small team, and we all wear multiple hats Position Requirements: 2 years of experience in financial services Windows and Microsoft Office skills and ability to master new software Strong organizational skills Excellent administrative writing and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently as well as within a team and prioritize tasks appropriately Ability to manage your own time High attention to detail Excellent client service and relationship management skills Not required but a big plus: experience with any our systems – Redtail, Orion, Schwab, PreciseFP, eMoney, Holistiplan The Process Qualified candidates will start the process by having a 15-30 minute zoom interview conducted by our consultant who is the hiring manager for this position. If there is ground to move forward, you will be required to fill out a Career History Form. If you are selected to advance in the process, you will meet with the firm. Qualified candidates will be asked to take assessments.
