Job Title: Clin Lab Technologist - PRN (******** )

Essential Functions: Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing.Recognizes and corrects errors in tests and procedures, reporting promptly to the immediate supervisor.Performs Quality Assurance work to ensure equipment accuracy, including QC and maintenance documentation.Participates in continuing education activities in a timely manner.Performs specialized techniques/projects under the supervision of the Lab Manager.Assists laboratory functions to meet regulatory compliance.Collects and analyzes bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities.Operates laboratory equipment effectively.Analyzes test results for accuracy and reports results per organizational standards.Performs automated and manual tests based on established policies and procedures.Runs tests and analyzes results for timely reporting.Assists in the training of MLT students.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required or HEW designation as technologist in lieu of a degree.Completion of Medical Technology Program preferred.Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Certifications: ASCP preferred.1-3 years experience working in a laboratory is strongly preferred.Why join our team?
