Job Summary
The Clinical Resource Nurse provides clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes in the Infusion Center.
The advanced knowledge and skills required for this role include clinical expertise in a focused area, evidence -based practice, mentoring, consultation, collaboration, education, and leadership.
Mentoring and focusing on education of the Infusion Center staff provide skills labs and resources to clinical staff is essential.
Will need to be flexible with their schedule to support all shifts.
The Clinical Resource Nurse partners with the Director to ensure operational readiness of the Department in the provision of direct nursing care for our patients.
This position has operational oversight responsibilities and participates with the Nursing team in care planning and delivery, utilizing the nursing process to provide appropriate comprehensive care, in accordance with the stated philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Service Department and the Naka Infusion Center.
The Clinical Resource Nurse facilitates communications between the Department and other areas and serves as mentor and role model for staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school required.
Experience:
Minimum two years of experience in Infusion/Out-Patient Nursing with demonstrated leadership abilities required.
Chemotherapy Infusion, PICC line placement experience preferred.

Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification:
Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.
BLS healthcare provider required.
ACLS achieved within 6 months of hire.
Chemotherapy Certification preferred
