Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians. Performs routine diagnostic procedures and may be required to function as a Medical Assistant as needed. Basic computer knowledge required • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing • Excellent customer service skills required • Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking radiographic images following established procedures. Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment. • Maintains accurate radiology records as directed and logs all procedures completed. Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. • Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors according to specification of examination. • Follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. • Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies. • Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Develops and monitors an ongoing QI program with targeted QI aspects of care to be reported on a routine basis.
