The Associate Clinical Admin Coordinator upports and monitors the ongoing efforts to provide high quality care for patients. They serve as a representative to patients, utilizing professional customer service skills. Works closely with providers, managers, and office staff in coordinating patient care. This role includes all aspects of appointment scheduling.
Primary Responsibilities: Educational coaching of IPA office staff in person Effective use of EHR system applications to manage patient inquiries and requests for Providers office Ensure demographic information including insurance information is correct in APM and update as necessary Verifies insurance eligibility updating information as needed Answers phones, communicate messages from patients to providers, medical assistants, and office staff when appropriate Keeps updated on current provider schedules ensuring that Schedulers are scheduling properly and notified of any schedule changes Ensures all scheduled, rescheduled or canceled appointments are entered or updated on APM Responds appropriately and timely to patient concerns and/or needs Ensures all work is being performed according to Optum policies, procedures, and standards Functions as part of a collaborative, high functioning scheduling team Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and forge strong interpersonal relationships within the department, other departments and external audiences Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks This position required telecommuting to various clinic depending on the volume meeting with Providers offices Keep track of percentage completed with the program for each Providers office Have reports ready for each Status meeting with Providers Must maintain flexibility and adjust working hours according to provider needs Consistently uses standardized work protocols to provide efficient and effective productivity Must adhere to department standards for productivity and performance Answers, screens, processes, and documents incoming calls efficiently and professionally, maintaining phone etiquette at all times You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 2+ years of experience working in a call center or in a customer service-related role 1+ years of customer service experience 1+ years of data entry experience 1+ years of experience in patient scheduling and registration Superior computer experience and ability to learn new computer applications quickly and independently, including: EMR, Microsoft Office Suite and other learning contact development and publishing software programs Familiarity with insurance eligibility and verification processes Proven customer service centered approach and alignment with UHG Cultural Values Proven leadership skills include: setting the example, motivating the team to be high performers and taking the initiative to achieve the outcome Proven ability to adhere to HIPPA Confidentiality Standards Proven ability to manage a significant workload and to work efficiently under pressure meeting established deadlines with limited supervision Proven ability to possess solid analytical, problem-solving, planning, communication and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Proven ability to communicate in a clear and understandable manner. Both orally and in writing; exercises independent judgement. Influences and coordinate the efforts of others over whom one has no direct authority Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience working in a clinical setting 1+ years of experience working in a call center environment, medical office Experience with Data RAP, Alliance, Facets systems and any other Electronic Medical Records Bilingual (English/Spanish) Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour.
