About the Unit This is a 29 bed Level 3 neonatal critical care unit, caring for neonates 28 weeks and up.
NICU has a very team like atmosphere.
A Neonatologist and NNP are on the unit 24 hours a day.
Nursing participates in many nursing councils across the hospital.
NICU nurses are NRP certified and attend all high risk deliveries in labor and delivery.
NICU nurses along with a multidisciplinary team participate in transporting infants from neighboring hospitals to Beaumont Dearborn's NICU.

Scope of work Coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit.
In addition to communication and clerical tasks, she/he monitors and stocks supplies.
Provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
