Description

Responsible for the overall development, direction and supervision of Catholic Charities of Central Colorado's Behavioral Health services. Works as part of the leadership team, delivering leadership and ongoing implementation of key strategic initiatives. Coordinates collaboration and integration across departments to ensure a smooth flow to service delivery. Directs and monitors the identification and development of strategic, clinical, compliance and regulatory goals. Provides expert, quality, and transparent clinical supervision and support to licensed and unlicensed counselors through consultation, supervision, training, and documentation review. Provides direct clinical care, including completing diagnostic assessments, individual, group or family therapy and providing crisis de-escalation/stabilization as needed. Monitors staff performance and makes recommendations for hiring, termination and compensation of staff members. Prioritizes and resolves administrative problems and personnel issues.

Requirements

Administration
Directs the overall development, direction and operation of therapeutic services and ensures the coordination and facilitation of quality services for individuals referred from various referral sources.??
Act as clinical supervisor for counseling staff, including supervising and training interns.
Ensures that standards of daily practice align with the strategic initiative expectations and appropriate regulatory governing bodies.
Ensures that access, customer service, and clinical service delivery are of the highest quality.
Analyzes and interprets performance data to drive staffing patterns, growth opportunities and process improvement needs.
In partnership with finance staff, manages department budget and maintains continuous quality improvement to ensure excellence in care delivery that is sustainable and within financial performance goals.
Implements current best practices into daily operations.
Ensures outcome and contract deliverables meet or exceed requirements, achieve regulatory excellence, meet licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.

Direct Supervision
Provides direct support to clinical counseling staff (licensed and interns) through consultation, individual/peer supervision, and?training to best meet the needs of the counseling team
Monitors and coaches the performance of staff, ensuring staff is consistently providing the highest standard of quality care both in practice, performance, and documentation.
Approves timecards and time off requests of supervisees.
Effectively engages peers and staff to work together toward a common goal; maintains professionalism and a positive work environment that encourages resiliency amongst staff, peers, supervisor, and leadership.
Engages in consistent, transparent and strong leadership through effective communication and change management and develops clinical knowledge of supervisees through building on individual strengths and passion.
Provides feedback on and informs system improvements as it relates to standards of quality care.?
Understands supervisees caseload composition and caseload dynamics (clinical complexity, service delivery intervals) and effectively coaches supervisees on utilizing treatment plan to drive care, monitor progress and plan for exit.
Leads effectively by example and by working alongside team to demonstrate performance and work-ethic.
Communicates team performance through formal report outs and data presentations to inform management of successes and team needs.

Direct Clinical Care
Completes comprehensive assessments for intake diagnostics, safety and risk management, and treatment planning that is strengths based and culturally inclusive of client preferences.
Effectively develops and communicates treatment recommendations to clients that are grounded in diagnostic evidence and measured by clinical outcome tools.
Provides expert, quality, and transparent individual, group and family therapy that is evidence based and outcomes informed. May include treatment of co-occurring (MH and SUD) clients.
Provides treatment that involves the client as co-owner of their treatment plan and drives care based on and measured by client feedback about quality of care, therapeutic rapport, and status of symptoms.
Engages at risk clients with strategic safety planning and interventions that deescalate and stabilize them.
Develops safety plans that balance risk assessment with client strengths, support systems, and supervisor feedback as needed. Completes all crisis-related documentation in clear, comprehensive, and timely fashion.
Ensures all clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner and meets quality standards, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Demonstrates multicultural awareness and sensitivity to client treatment preferences.
Utilizes client feedback mechanisms to assess treatment progress, level of motivation, treatment preferences, and recommends treatment modalities by balancing these factors in clinically appropriate ways.

Education & Experience
Preferred five (5) years as a Licensed professional, in good standing, in the State of Colorado in counseling, social work, or related behavioral health field (LCSW, LPC, PsyD, PhD) and/or meets DORA requirements to provide clinical supervision.
Three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related leadership position, and experience working in a clinical team environment
Experience working with identified population.
Experience using various treatment modalities appropriate for specified population, utilizing strength-based therapeutic approaches.
Knowledgeable of contracts management and data reporting, strategic planning for service expansion, and community relationship building.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to easily build rapport.
Has exhibited skills as a positive role model (i.e., willing to go above and beyond to meet client or clinic needs, willingly accepted challenges, engages in self-care)
Must have sufficient language skills and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing to implement and document the services provided to clients accurately and professionally
Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged
Possess basic computer skills and type 25+ words per minute for the input and output of client information, using electronic health record.?

Work Environment
Occasional evenings and weekends are required to accommodate meetings and special events.
Most of the assigned duties are performed in an office environment.
The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $90,000 annually. Salary is determined based on the applicant's incoming skills and experience, and the budget at time of hiring.
