Our client is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.

Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients, helping them to understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive their substance use, the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas:   Health & Wellness   Spirituality   Employment   Education/Training   Family & Recovery Support   What we're looking for:  
Our client is currently seeking a full-time Clinical Director. The Clinical Director will be responsible for building and leading the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and mental health services delivery team and oversee service delivery. The Clinical Director will assist in the development of Behavioral Health policies, procedures, and staff development. The Clinical Director represents the organization with referrals, funding, and community stakeholders. Compensation Range: The starting pay range for this position is $60,000-$75,000 per year and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. This is a salaried-exempt role that is ineligible for overtime compensation.  

 
The Ideal candidate will:  Participate in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training process for new clinical staff in the department Oversee the daily workflow of the clinical services department Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations   Partner with the VP of Operations, and Human Resources to handle discipline, investigations, and termination of employees in accordance with company policy Direct Behavioral Health clinical operations at assigned work sites Implements and monitor program services   Participate in developing Behavioral Health service policies, procedures, and clinical protocols Participate in managing the budget, clinical programs, and program audits. Participate as an active member of the treatment team Maintain client records and monitor documentation quality, timeliness, and compliance in accordance with licensing, contractual, accreditation, legal, and regulatory requirements Supervise, direct, and evaluate the work performance of subordinate professional social worker staff and direct client care staff Informs the Program Manager of any issues pertaining to contract or performance issues that are not in accordance with acceptable social work practice Conducts staff meetings and training sessions as required Provides substance use disorder and/or mental health counseling, psycho-educational services, screenings and/or psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments per license capacity Coordinates services with nursing and recovery support staff to assist clients with community integration, goal setting, and wellness as part of aftercare planning Provides case consultation within the organization and with community resources Plans and provides client educational presentations as requested Maintains productivity expectations Provides emergency assistance as needed to clients and participates in on-call rotation Participates in client team meetings and supervisory meetings Participates in mental health and substance use disorder development activities. Participates in policy and procedure developments regarding billing and utilization management Provides therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, or groups when needed Promote the organization's vision, values, and services to all customers and stakeholders Assist in maintaining organization wide quality standards Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct and communications represent the organization in a highly professional manner Maintain a safe and clean work environment Completes other duties as requested or assigned A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver's License, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation   Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite   Experience with Electronic Health/Medical Records Systems is a plus!   Qualifications: Master's or PhD Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited college or university is required Minimum of three years of supervisory experience is preferred. Minimum of three years of work experience in substance use, mental health or co-occurring disorders required. Experience and knowledge of Michigan's Pre-Paid Inpatient Health Plans (PIHPs) is preferred Experience working with minority and vulnerable populations required Current CPR, Mental Health First AID (MHFA) certification/trained is required.   Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Certificate or MCBAP CAADC Development Plan is required MCBAP Certified Clinical Services Director (CCS) Certificate or MCBAP CCS Development Plan is required Certification in Quality Improvement highly desired Bi-lingual; Spanish-Speaking or Arabic -speaking individuals preferred, however, not required What's in it for you:  A collaborative environment with Clinical Site Leaders and regular peer review   Flexible scheduling-Excellent work/life balance (full-time and part-time schedules available)   Full comprehensive benefits available to full-time employees:   Medical   Dental   Vision  401k with Company match   EAP   Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF & HRSA*)  *HRSA Student Loan Forgiveness is specific to positions approved by the HRSA Program.
