For over 50 years, The Glenholme School, part of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, has provided a comprehensive residential program and services for children with learning differences and special needs. Located in picturesque Washington, CT, the Clinical Director position will be part of a cohesive, passionate, and dynamic team. The selected candidate will foster Devereux's mission and values of quality care as well as providing top-notch and individualized therapeutic care for our students.
Position: We are seeking a Clinical Director who has experience with the student population and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning differences and mental health/behavioral challenges.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm
Primary Responsibilities Include: Oversee the implementation and interpretation of all clinical and administrative school policies, treatment approaches, assessment of the milieu, as well as the clinical director and those essential functions of the clinical department.Develop and monitor annual goals for the department to ensure quality improvement remains an integral component of the program.Manage, analyze the content, frequency, and integrity of staff and parent training programs. Maintain records to indicate efficacy of training for parents and staff.Abide by all regulatory bodies of various states, accreditations, and corporate compliance matters.Hold a position on the Executive Management team, as well as a strong supportive working relationship with the school psychiatrist. Support compliance with all delivery of services to the fiscal, ethical, and legal standards.Teach, implement, and facilitate routine outcome studies within the clinical department and other areas where applicable.Provide frequent presentations to outside constituents, conferences, and other gatherings that promote the organization.Assess, modify, and improve existing process structures to attain ease of application and implementation.Participate in the "On Call" Rotation when required.Develop short-range and long-range program goals, particularly in organizing and planning.Develop, provide, and/or coordinate clinical trainings for all clinical and program staff on Mental Health, AOD, and other clinical topics relevant to client services.Oversee all operation and administration functions of the clinical department.Assume all other duties necessary to assure all state and federal regulations are met.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Social WorkLicensure in Clinical Social Work in the state of CT - LCSW3 years' experience working with youth with learning differences and special needsDevereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
