Position Summary: The Clinical Director will oversee and manage all clinical operations within the mental health facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based mental health services.
This role involves supervising clinical staff, developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The Clinical Director will work collaboratively with the leadership team to promote a therapeutic and supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure the effective delivery of mental health services.
Supervise, mentor, and support clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, social workers, and support staff.
Facilitate regular team meetings, supervision sessions, and staff training programs.
Clinical Oversight:
Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all clinical services are provided in a manner consistent with ethical and professional standards.
Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clinical services, implementing improvements as needed.
Program Development:
Design, implement, and evaluate new clinical programs and services to meet the needs of the community and patient population.
Collaborate with the leadership team to develop strategic plans for the growth and development of the facility's clinical services.
Compliance and Accreditation:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in regulations and best practices in the mental health field.
Prepare for and lead accreditation and regulatory reviews and audits.
Patient Care and Advocacy:
Promote a patient-centered approach to care, ensuring that services are accessible, responsive, and effective.
Address patient concerns and complaints, working to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Advocate for patient needs and ensure the integration of patient feedback into service delivery improvements.
Data Management and Reporting:
Oversee the collection and analysis of clinical data to monitor outcomes and inform decision-making.
Prepare and present reports on clinical performance, outcomes, and compliance to the executive team and board of directors.
Use data to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
Foster relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery and collaboration.
Represent the facility at community events, professional organizations, and other forums.
Qualifications:
Education and Licensure:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Experience in program development and management.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation processes.

Working Conditions:
Full-time position with a standard workweek.
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
Work is performed in a clinical office setting, with some travel required for community engagement and professional development activities.
