CORE JOB SUMMARY The Division of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.
The successful applicant will join a faculty of 70 clinical radiologists involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Participation in the advancement and education of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows. Experience in general Nuclear Medicine studies such as bone scans, thyroid imaging, nuclear cardiology, renal, gastric, lymphatic, brain, and other types of imaging is required. Experience with state-of-the-art hybrid SPECT/CT and PET/CT imaging is required. Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired. Supervise the performance of technical personnel. Be part of the on-call schedule. Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine. Provide Nuclear Medicine consultation as requested. Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair. Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine. Participate in teaching activities related to Nuclear Medicine. Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research. Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education: Medical Degree Diagnostic Radiology Residency Nuclear Medicine Fellowship Certification and Licensing: American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified or Board Eligible Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) Certified or Board Eligible Florida Medical License or Eligible Experience: Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine.
