We are seeking a dedicated professional to perform crucial laboratory testing that aids in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases across all age groups.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities* Perform all aspects of laboratory testing in one or more sections of the laboratory.* Accurately conduct moderate and highly complex laboratory testing, including Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, and Microbiology.* Report results substantiated by appropriate quality control systems.* Contribute to Performance Improvement activities and participate in proficiency testing.* Supervise MLT and CPT staff, providing functional guidance.* Review quality control data, interpret shifts and trends, and take corrective actions.* Calibrate and adjust laboratory equipment in compliance with regulations and guidelines.* Act as a resource to doctors and nursing staff regarding lab reports.* Interpret clinical values and document critical values per policy.* Perform in-depth preventive and non-scheduled maintenance procedures with appropriate documentation.Qualifications* California Clinical Laboratory License - Required* Knowledge of theory and test application in clinical chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microscopy, coagulation, and transfusion service - Required* Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, multi-tasking, and ability to work with minimal supervision - Required* Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment and take appropriate actions in challenging situations - Required* High school diploma or GED - Required* Baccalaureate degree in Biology or related science - RequiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hourBenefits:* Health insuranceExperience:* Clinical Lab Scientist: 2 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (Preferred)* BLS (Preferred)Work Location: In person
