In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.What you will do in this role:Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.Assist with admission and discharge processes.Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.Assist with staff scheduling.What qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateRegistered NurseRegistered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate DegreeOur Specialty Surgical Progressive Care Unit offers the following:32 bed unit Patient-to-nurse Ratio is 1:4/5( with PCT support) Caring for a wide variety of post-surgical patients, some example are:  Tracheal Esophageal Surgeries Colorectal Surgeries Tracheostomy Laryngectomy Thyroidectomy Breast Surgery Lung Surgery Complex abdominal related procedures Urology Woundvacs  Tele capable unitDedicated Education unit where nursing students are routinely present completing clinicals Highly motivated and high performing floor This floor prides itself on maintaining some of the highest scores for patient and employee satisfaction across the division.  This unit was recognized in 2019 and 2021 as an HCA Unit of Distinction in the PCU category Methodist Hospital opened in 1963 as the first hospital in the now internationally acclaimed South Texas Medical Center.
