**Description** ** _Summary:_**The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, implements or delegates, plans, andevaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with establishedphilosophy, providing and directing patient care for a group of patients. TheRegistered Nurse (RN) relates effectively with other shiftsdepartments foroptimal continuity of care. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinicalsupervision for entry level nurses and assists in their development.CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos, which originated in 1923 as HaysCounty Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Memorial Hospital, opened at its currentWonder World Drive location in 1983. Our staff of more than 700 Associatesworks with more than 300 active and consulting physicians to provide qualityservices to patients and their families. For more than 20 consecutive years,we have been named The Best Hospital in Hays County in the annual "Best ofHays" publication released by the San Marcos Daily Record. In addition tointerventional cardiac services, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos isa Certified Chest Pain Center and an accredited Primary Stroke Center. We leadthe region in da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery and offers a variety ofspecialty care services including medical imaging, rehabilitation, hospice,women's services and more.**_Requirements:_** * Associates Degree in Nursing * One year experience in nursing preferred. * Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License * BLS (American Heart Association) * ACLS required at time of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain ACLS by the end of the clinical orientation period. * PALS required at time of hire for experienced RNs. New graduate nurses must obtain PALS by the end of the clinical orientation period. * Crisis intervention training required within 12 months of hiretransfer date * For trauma designated facilities, TNCC required within 6 weeks of hire for experienced RNs.
