**Description** ** _Summary:_**Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments.Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, andmonitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care,condition, reaction, and progress.The medical-surgical unit is a 36-bed unit that provides exceptional care forpatients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, laryngectomies, and post-op carefor various conditions, infections, COPD, pneumonia, and other respiratorydisorders. We also care for general medical-surgical patients. The mix ofpatients on this floor makes it a great starting point for nurses in ourResidency Program and for nurses who wish to become Certified in medical-surgical Nursing and work at the top of their license with this population ofrewarding and challenging patients.
