Clinical Pharmacist - Oncology

General Summary of Position MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is actively recruiting for passionate, patient-focused Clinical Pharmacists to join our oncology pharmacy team in Washington, DC.Prior oncology experience is preferred.Provides pharmaceutical care to assigned patients under the supervision of a more senior clinical pharmacist/manager.
Evaluates and interprets physician orders and dispenses medication and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with established operational procedures, professional standards or practice as well as state and district and Federal laws.
\r\rMinimum Qualifications EducationDoctoral degree PharmD from an accredited college of Pharmacy or equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy required \r Experience1-2 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required PGY-1 preferred \r Licenses and CertificationsRPH - Registered Pharmacist Licensure in Washington, DC required Board certification Upon Hire preferred \r Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPROBLEM SOLVING: Job requires a relatively high level of problem-solving to find solutions to difficult human, \rtechnical, clinical or administrative problemsINTERNAL CONTACTS: Internal contacts necessary to effectively advise, consult or counsel others to gain \rcooperation and acceptance of ideas or actions.\rINDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: Work is occasionally performed according to existing procedures and instructions \rbut often requires analysis of problems and development of solutions.
