Clinical Psychologist – Child/AdolescentAGENCY OVERVIEW:For nearly 175 years, Jewish Family and Children's Services of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties has served the Bay Area's children, families, and older adults. POSITION SUMMARY:Under the supervision of CCY Associate Clinical Director, the Clinical Psychologist is responsible for providing developmental assessment, psychological testing, psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and consultation services for children, adolescents, and their families. The Clinical Psychologist understands and assists in meeting budget and services goals, understands the mission and objectives of Jewish Family and Children's Services and works within the limitations of the Agency's resources and performs all duties in compliance with agency standards. The Clinical Psychologist works as part of an interdisciplinary team to support children, adolescents, and their families. Our team includes other therapists, psychologists, a pediatric psychiatrist, occupational therapists, and parenting coaches.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000 (depending on experience)Employment Type: full-time, exempt position with benefitsEmployer 403(b) retirement match plus additional employer contribution (subject to eligibility)Cafeteria plan with medical, dental, vision, FSA, Employer-paid life, and disability insurance16 holidays (10 federal and up to 6 Jewish holidays), annually3 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of sick leave, annuallyStaff receives on-going training with experts in the field through CCY's Child Training Institute and expert panelOpportunity to work some hours from homeESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides clinical therapeutic intervention for low to moderate mental health issues for children, adolescents and their families utilizing required screening, assessment and treatment planning.Provides psychological testing services for children and adolescents.Attends weekly case consultation for CCY clinical staff and participates in agency wide quarterly Quality Assurance peer case review process.Advocates for families through the IEP process in educational settings and supports the educational staff in implementing IEP and/or other intervention/treatment plans.Completes administrative duties necessary to carry out clinical responsibilities in a timely fashion. Maintains timely and accurate assessment, treatment, and consultation records.Participates in JFCS and departmental meetings and staff trainings as appropriate and represents the department in a professional demeanor.REQUIREMENTS:Requires a doctoral degree in clinical psychology (PsyD or PhD)Must be licensed or license-eligible in the state of CaliforniaDemonstrated skills in providing developmental assessment, psychological testing, and problem-focused psychotherapy working with children and adolescents and their familiesExpertise in diagnosis and treatment of symptoms and behaviors associated with ADHD, anxiety, disordered attachment, mood disorders, autism spectrum, and other conditions impacting childhood developmentExpertise in working with families as a component of treating children and youthAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a teamFlexibility to work later afternoons and some eveningsValid California driver's license and car available for use in workTo be considered for this position, you must meet the requirements and competencies listed above.
