FULL TIME-DAYS GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Clinical Social Worker to join our interdisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will work to assist patients and families with complex psychosocial needs, including discharge planning, addressing abuse/neglect, substance use disorders, end-of-life decisions, and providing bereavement support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Conduct psychosocial assessments, communicate with alternate sites of care and community agencies, and maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Provide consultation and resources to the healthcare team and participate in department or hospital committees.
Inpatient psychiatric duties may include conducting group therapy sessions, performing utilization reviews, and providing discharge planning. STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS Education / Training:
Master's degree in social work Work Experience: Experience in individual, family assessment, crisis intervention, grief and loss counseling, and discharge planning preferred
Certification, Licensure, Registration: Michigan Social Work License.
LMSW expected within 5 years of employment.
Other Qualifications: Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development, excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, ability to work independently and contribute positively to team performance.
