Position Summary

Under clinical program leadership within the Office of Professional Training (OPT), provide clinical supervision of MSW graduate students obtaining practicum experience in National University's Nurse Managed Clinic (NMC) program or other university practicum programs or Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT).


Essential Functions: Provides clinical supervision of practicum students, in accordance with BBS regulations and University policies.
Delivers weekly individual, triadic and/or group clinical supervision to assigned counselors.
Reviews and audits clinical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes as well as other relevant program required information, forms and/or documentation.
Coordinates and consults with JFKSOPSS MSW and School of Health Professions (SOHP) nursing program faculty leadership.
Contributes in mandatory meetings to discuss supervisees' progress as well as clinical issues and concerns; and any other meetings and training as necessary or required.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Education & Experience: Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Couple and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Social Work or Clinical Psychology, required; MSW preferred.
Must have and maintain active California license as an LCSW; two (2) years of licensure required, five or more (5+) years of licensure preferred; proof of licensure required.
Must have completed (and maintain) required training according to applicable BBS regulations to provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed MSW students; two plus (2+) years of relevant clinical supervision experience, preferred; proof of completing training required.
Clinical experience (psychotherapy and/or clinical supervision) in an interprofessional setting, preferred.
Must have and maintain own malpractice insurance coverage; proof required.
Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) software used for psychotherapy records, preferred.
Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.

Basic Skills in Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook required.
Working knowledge of software programs for mental health clinical record-keeping, i.e., EHR, preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Strong problem solving, critical and analytical thinking skills.
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish, preferred.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area

Travel: Infrequent travel to participate in University or school meetings or functions may be required.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.
Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position.
The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.

Compensation Range:

Hourly: $31.19 - $40.54
