May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas includingassisting providers with patient care, and handling clerical, environmental, and organizationaltasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit fromthe clinical services. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable tosustain these standards in daily operations. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medicalproviders and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with officemanagement. **Experience Required** Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as amedical assistant andor documented evidence of externship completed in amedical office.Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injectionexperience.Epic experience preferred.Excellent organizational, writtenverbal communication and teamwork skills. **Education Requirements** High School Diploma or Equivalent required. **LicenseCertification Requirements** Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited byNJAC(13:35-6.4) approved certifying body AND current certification from arecognized certifying board approved by NJ Board of Medical Examiners. Acomplete and current listing is available in the Human Resource Department.Current BLSCPR certification through the American Heart Association.
