JOB SUMMARY: Clinical Trainers are responsible for developing, assessing, administering and revising training material for nursing staff and front desk staff in a clinical setting. Clinical Trainers work closely with the learner, watches and coaches in skill application.
Duties:Creates and maintains a positive and professional learning environmentWorks side by side with new hires and current employees to train skills, workflow processes, and reinforce policiesConducts specific competency measurements on a consistent basisValidates the skill of new hires using assessmentsCoordinates additional training when necessary that utilizes a variety of methodologies to ensure maximum effectiveness of trainingCreates training material and competency assessmentsProvides feedback to managers on the performance and competency level of staffProvides effective role modelingDemonstrates skillful interactions with patients and staffGenerates interest in subject matterPresents information with clarityThe ability to travel to all Health West sitesSkills Required:Ability to facilitate change and learning.Ability to understand organizational goals and communicate how the training efforts support organizational goals.Ability to think logically to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make appropriate and informed decisions.Proficient in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems, and web-based programs.Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform various tests and procedures, complete medical records documentation, and communicate with providers, staff and patients.Time management skillsCustomer service skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenPositivity and enthusiasm to train new and existing employeesExperience:LPN/RN certification/licensure required3 years of supervision or employee training experience (preferred)Location: North Logan, Utah, United States
