We'll enable growth and progress together.The Team:Our CloudSecOps team reduces the risk in Citi's cloud and container security infrastructure through a variety of methods including Security Automation, Continuous Monitoring, and Red Teaming. We are seeking a Cloud SecOps engineer to help further enable Citi's secure adoption of private, hybrid, and public cloud platforms. This role reports to the Cloud SecOps Security Automation Manager and involves the development of tooling and automation to enhance the security posture of Citi's cloud platforms and containerized workloads.The Role:The Cloud SecOps Developer is responsible for developing security automation to tackle a broad spectrum of challenges, which may include designing software to compile asset inventories, identifying security misconfigurations, measuring security coverage, conducting automated security assessments, and generating comprehensive reports and metrics on Cloud and Container infrastructure and workloads.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a team of highly skilled cloud security engineers to implement the strategic vision of our cloud security automation programDevelop specialized cloud security automation solutions covering areas like: security assessment tooling, cloud inventory, security coverage, metrics and reporting, which will be leveraged as key security controls for Citi's cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure / M365, etc.)Develop security automation efforts targeting containerized platforms (K8S, EKS, OpenShift)Build, maintain and enhance the team's security automation infrastructureImplement testing, logging, error handling, and alerting to improve the resiliency of our security automation frameworkMaintain development standards / best practices for the team including technical documentation for all cloud security automation projectsCollaborate and work closely with other Cloud Security teams to identify and resolve security gaps via automationQualifications3-5 years' experience working with Cybersecurity in Cloud or Container environments, or equivalent related technical experienceMinimum of 2 years' experience in software development (preferably with Python)Strong Proficiency with cloud development libraries such as Boto3, GCloud SDK, Azure SDK, and K8S SDKFamiliarity with leveraging Cloud-Native development tools and services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Terraform, and CodepipelineAbility to handle, parse, and manipulate JSON data programmaticallyProficiency in the Linux command-line interface and basic system administrationHands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies, supported by industry-accredited certification (CKA, CKAD, CKS, etc.)Experience in writing and deploying IaC (infrastructure as code) with Terraform, Helm, etc. via code pipelinesProficiency in DevSecOps practices and Software Development Lifecycle tooling and componentsExperience with collaborating across multiple business lines in a corporate setting or large scale environmentAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with high attention to detailExcellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to engage with all levels of staff and management in a collaborative and professional mannerEducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent working experienceCertifications:Candidates must possess or be open to acquiring 1 or more of the following industry-accredited certifications within the 1st year of employment:Cloud security certifications:Azure Security Engineer Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate, AWS Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, etc.Container/Kubernetes certifications:CKA, CKAD, CKS, etc.Other security certifications:OSCP, OSCE, GXPN, GPEN, GCIH, GWAPT, etc.This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
