What The Role Entails
CloudHQ is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager who will play a significant role in establishing CloudHQ's tax strategy in Asia Pacific (APAC).
The successful candidate will report to CloudHQ's Global Tax team who are based in Washington DC, US, and will work closely with Investment, Development and Finance team members in Singapore to manage all tax aspects in the APAC region, ranging from acquisition due diligence and structuring, to tax compliance.

Requirements
What You Will Get to Do Provide expert tax advice on structuring, acquisition, and disposal of hyperscale data center projects across Asia Pacific.
Offer guidance to the leadership team regarding tax implications of business decisions, cross-border transactions, and restructuring.
Conduct tax due diligence on potential asset acquisitions, real estate holding structures, or joint ventures, and contribute to purchase contract negotiations.
Oversee ongoing direct and indirect tax compliance obligations, collaborating closely with finance team members and external tax advisors.
Ensure compliance with transfer pricing and substance requirements.
Monitor changes in tax legislation, regulations, and industry trends to advise on potential business impacts for the fund.
Cultivate and manage effective relationships with external advisors in multiple countries.
Evaluate and address requests for tax audits.
Implement technological and process enhancements to ensure timely and accurate information is provided to the Investment and Finance teams.
What You Bring to the Role A degree in Accountancy, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent from an accredited College or University.
Fluent in English.
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in Big 4 accounting firms or large real estate organizations.
Predominant experience in Asia Pacific cross-border transactions and structuring of real estate investments, infrastructure, construction, and/or data center industries.
European or US real estate tax experience is advantageous.
Familiarity with US or European investors and fund managers.
Advanced knowledge of Singapore and regional tax regimes across APAC.
Ability to work independently as the first Singapore tax hire.
Willingness to work extended hours as needed and accommodate meetings with the management team in US and European time zones.
Exceptional organization and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet critical deadlines.
Effective team player with the ability to collaborate internally and externally, across different languages and international business cultures.
Assertive personality, ensuring completion of processes and prioritization of tax issues.
