Hiring Full Time for:
7AM-3PM Days
3PM-11PM Evening
Responsible for providing routine daily nursing services to assigned residents in a manner that is caring, compassionate and customer-oriented and in accordance with laws, regulations and facility guidelines.
Essential Job Duties
1.Provides quality nursing care to residents and communicates to each resident and family member to build positive relations.
2.Routinely makes rounds and responsively provides proper resident care and service.
3.Assesses residents for condition changes and reports to nurse supervisor.
4.Answers resident call lights promptly and courteously.
5.Delivers meals and performs feeding assistance to residents and provides hydration.
6.Performs vital sign monitoring/charting and observes residents for changes in condition or behavior and reports to nursing supervisors.
7.Provides assistance to residents for showers or baths.
8.Provides assistance with lifting, turning, moving, transporting or transferring residents.
9.Monitors incontinent residents to ensure bed linens and clothing are clean and dry.
10.Assists residents with toileting and bed pans and collects urine, stool and sputum samples as directed.
11.Ensures good hygiene through oral care, hair care, shaving, etc.
12.Changes bed linens and makes beds.
13.Provides proper skin care and promptly reports observations of skin breakdown and pressure areas.
14.Communicates changes and follows plan of care effectively by recording changes in charts.
Other Job Duties
1.Adheres to facility admission, discharge and transfer policies and prepares resident rooms for arrival.
2.Labels, organizes and stores resident's personal belongings, clothing, etc.
3.Provides support and assistance for dying residents and post-mortem care.
4.Receives report from off-going shift or supervisor to better understand resident needs and changes.
5.Promotes interdepartmental teamwork to meet resident needs.
6.Promotes an environment of positive public relations by displaying a calm, caring, warm and friendly atmosphere in the department and on each shift.
7.Keeps residents' water pitchers clean and filled with fresh was and within reach of the resident.
8.Provides training to new CNAs upon request.
9.Ensures cleanliness of water pitchers and provides refills of fresh water as needed.
10.Transfer residents to and from dining room, activities, therapy, etc.
11.Works well with supervision, team members and other departments to properly care for each resident.
12.Rotates residents on a two-hour schedule.
13.Monitors dressings, bandages, etc.
and changes, as directed.
14.Arrives to work as scheduled and makes rounds with previous shift.
15.As instructed and appropriate, collects specimens (urine, stools, etc.).
