As a CNA specializing in long-term care, you will assist in various activities of daily living while operating medical equipment and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Duration: 8 weeks but renewable
Pay: $27.50/hr, $37/hr overtime
Shifts Available: Mulitple shifts offered
Responsibilities:
- Assist long term care residents with ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Operate and assist in using medical equipment such as geri-chairs, mechanical lifts, and wheelchairs.
- Monitor residents' physical and mental status by taking vital signs and collecting samples.
- Communicate observations and document all relevant information accurately.
- Respond promptly to resident requests, transport them to dining rooms or activities, and relay their concerns to staff, families, and volunteers.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop patient care plans and exchange information.
- Follow instructions from medical staff for care provision, including range of motion exercises and sensory stimulation.
- Assist licensed nurses during emergencies and follow established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Must be in the state of Wisconsin.
- Compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to enhance the lives of geriatric residents.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of universal precautions and safety protocols.
