Job Summary: Our locally-owned and operated non-medical home care company is looking for a responsible, and experienced Certified Nurse Assistant to lead our team of Professional Care Providers. The CNA Supervisor reports to the Office Manager and CEO (Registered Nurse). All care providers and CNAs report to the CNA Supervisor. Job duties include: Interviewing, Hiring & Training Care Providers (caregivers) Conduct a dynamic orientation and onboarding experience for all new care providers to help them be prepared and supported for their work in non-medical home care. Conduct skills training to help both CNAs and unlicensed care providers learn and demonstrate how to assist with all ADLs including hoyer lift, sit/stand lift, catheter care, and more. Assist CEO and Office Manager/Scheduler in Admin tasksHelp in the field as a care provider when staffing needs arise. Main Challenges of the role include: industry-wide employee turnover average of 77% (77% of caregiver hires don't stay past 100 days), unpredictable schedule changes associated with a frail older population, and need for flexibility as needs arise. Performs other duties as delegated by Office Manager or CEO Qualifications: Active CNA License. LPN also acceptable. (Not accepted: CMA, MA, phlebotomist)High School Degree/ GED Excellent Communication Excellent Computer skills Excellent CNA Skills Strong Math Skills Problem solving & Creative Thinking Patience "thick skin" ability to handle client/ employee complaints and constructive criticisms well Professionalism (In communication, conduct, personal appearance, Social Media, etc.) Schedule Flexibility (Will occasionally may need to work as early as 7am and as late as 11pm) Patience Current Driver's License Active Car Insurance on Personal Vehicle Able to lift 50 pounds. Able to squat, bend, reach, stand, lift, and sit. Working Conditions: Work in Office at 11314 Elm Street and/or in the field when needed Hours 9am-5pm M-F with a weekend on-call rotation. May occasionally need to work a weeknight. On call Supervisors are responsible for finding coverage for call-outs and must cover the shift(s) themselves when required. Overtime is sometimes required 30 minute unpaid lunch break (when working in office) Quiet office setting, with your own private workspace We are continuously hiring care providers, so interviews will always be a part of your day.
