Certified Nursing Assistant – Trainee

What you will do:
Learn and demonstrates all knowledge and skills to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in a classroom and clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
Attend and complete the Certified Nurse Aide Training course, which addresses all areas of care rendered to a given population (i.e.
geriatric) within the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide.
This will encompass biological, psychological and social elements at the beginning level in a health care setting where aides are employed.
Responsible for completing work assignments, being prompt, prepared for class and report as scheduled, and maintaining good attendance.
Learn the knowledge and skills required for a Certified Nurse Aide through in both a classroom and clinical setting.
Adhere to all rules and/or policies governing student conduct and standards of behavior.
Successfully pass the NYS Certified Nurse Aide Exam in order to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant; composed of both computer based written exam and a clinical skills exam monitored by a registered nurse evaluator
Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
Must be able to read, write and speak English; High School Diploma or equivalent life-experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to serve others.
Pay Range: $17.55 - $22.93
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
