Minimum Requirements: Ability to read blueprintsAbility to use inspection/measurement devicesAbility to demonstrate basic machining skillsRelated machining experience preferredAbility to lift up to 50 poundsExcellent working knowledge of gages, i.e. dial indicator micrometers, verniers, calipers, snap gages, etc.Formal quality training a plus Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set-up, adjust and operate all of the machines in the grinding department including any inspection equipment required for jobVerify dimensions and stamp on/off the job for conformance to blueprint/set-up sheet specificationsRead blueprints/set-up sheets and shop orders for product specifications such as dimension, tolerances and number of pieces to be ground, and tooling instructions, such as grinding speeds, feed ratios, holding fixtures and grinding wheel to be used6SPreventative MaintenanceMake adjustments when dimensions are unacceptable and correct machine to produce quality productNital etch training and certificationProduce parts at an acceptable rateIf work in a FAA safety sensitive area, must participate in the anti-drug and alcohol random testing programTrain other operators as requiredPerform job functions and tasks required by management and supervisorsSafety conscious Qualifications: Due to ITAR regulations, must be a U.S. PersonHigh school diploma or equivalent Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings, set-up sheets, travelers, procedure manuals and government regulations.
