Responsibilities
• Operating CNC, VMC, and SWISS machines• Inspecting parts during production• Using micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and comparators• Loading materials into fixtures• Watching and listening for machine problems• Modifying tool offsets• Replacing broken/worn tooling• Meeting production rates and following workmanship standards• Performing inspection procedures and identifying nonconforming products• Completing maintenance checklists and following safety standards• Assisting with set-up operations and other duties as required
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent• Reading, basic math, and blueprint reading skills• 3 months to 1 year training period• 1-2 years of machine operating experience• Experience with CNC. lathes, mills, and Swiss machines• Knowledge of manual lathe and mill operation• Familiarity with measuring equipment and grinders• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions• Opportunity for growth within the company
