Position Overview:

Are you highly skilled in operating CNC machinery and passionate about creating precision components? We're looking for a dedicated CNC Machinist to join our team! In this role, you will operate and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet our specifications.

What your day may look like:

Read and understand technical drawings from purchase orders or verbal instructions.
Under limited supervision, set up and operate precision machines such as CNC, Press, CMM, FARO Arm, Milling Machine, Band Saw, Shear etc.
Work closely with engineers and other manufacturing professionals to ensure the production of high-quality machined and fabricated parts.
Ensure that all processes and outputs meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Secure and deburr girders and truck frames to ensure smooth edges and surfaces.
Assemble and disassemble wheelsets with precision and care.
Accurately measure girders, truck components, and wheel sets to meet specifications.
Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas according to established checklists.
Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, and others to resolve machining or assembly issues efficiently.

What will make you successful in this role:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least three years of experience in machining and/or fabrication. Must have practical knowledge of CNC programming.
Training as a machining technician, machine operator, or lathe operator is required.
Candidate should be highly proficient in reading blueprints.
Possess strong reading, writing, and math skills.
Experienced in using precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, and gauges.

Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders
Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
Perform work overhead.
Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

This position in located in Sacramento, CA.The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.29.There is a 10% shift differential for second shift and 20% shift differential for 3rdshift. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
