Cnc Machinist (Lathe)

Job Title: CNC Machinist (Lathe) Location: South Chesterfield, VA Position Type: 4-month contract to hire Shift: 2nd Shift  Benefits: Insurance Offered (Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.) We are hiring a CNC Lathe Machinist for our 2nd Shift at South Chesterfield, VA. \n Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints.Set up and operate 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machines.Inspect and maintain tools.Perform quality checks and document results.Load programs and adjust settings.Troubleshoot and solve machining problems.Work with team members to improve processes. Education & Experience Requirements:High school diploma.3-5 years of experience in a machine shop with CNC Lathe operations.Proficient in G-codes, M-codes, and machine setup.Able to use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.Strong problem-solving skills. Qualifications:Attention to detail.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in reading blueprints.Focus on quality work.Experience with steel and aluminum materials. Additional Skills:Align and set up tooling.Edit G-codes as needed.Inspect parts with precision tools. Team Environment:Supportive and collaborative workplace.Focus on continuous improvement.
