E Ink's Product Development Group is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and hands-on Compounding and Coating technician. Reporting to the Coating Line Manager, this individual will be responsible for day-to-day operation of compounding equipment to produce coating fluids needed for the Billerica Pilot Coater.

Work closely with chemists and engineers to establish and implement optimized processes and material flow for the operation of Chemical Mix lab equipmentCoordination and timely execution of experiments in batch reactorsMonitor and ensure outgoing quality of coating fluids meet specifications Ensure all best practices and safety protocols are observed and followedRespond to process upsets (troubleshooting) and drive solutionsPerform data collection, maintain records, and ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of the equipmentWork in collaboration with Pilot coater team to ensure on-time delivery of coating materials for development supportBe flexible to support some of the activities in Pilot coater as needed GED or High School diploma plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing environment Experience with compounding of powders, resins, solvents and other additives in a lab or manufacturing set up is preferredGood understanding of weighing principles and polymer processing methodsExperience with material characterization in advanced materials field is desiredAbility to make meaningful contributions in troubleshooting and resolving complicated technical problemsStrong relationship and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyComfortable working in a fast paced, self -managed environment with aggressive goalsPC ** * solid understanding of the Microsoft Suite and spreadsheet applicationsGood verbal, oral and written communication skills required
