Coatings Manager

Education and Experience: High School Diploma required. Minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent education required. NACE Level I certification required; NACE Level II certification or equivalent preferred. Strong knowledge of coatings operations, inspection, and related equipment. Quality Standards: Ability to read and interpret coatings drawings, codes, and specifications. Ensure all coatings applications and in-process inspections comply with applicable standards. Essential Functions: Uphold and promote TTI/FSS Company Safety Policies. Collaborate with the Production Manager and Superintendents to prioritize and schedule coatings-related tasks. Manage and supervise all coatings personnel. Ensure adequate staffing for all shifts to meet operational needs. Verify that facilities have the necessary equipment and consumables for production. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds standards, implementing corrective actions as needed. Oversee adherence to the preventive maintenance program for all equipment. Ensure compliance with all documentation and retention requirements. Ensure all quality control documentation is completed and submitted to the appropriate facility contacts. Evaluate outside companies and vendors related to coatings operations. Review all purchase orders and requisitions for accuracy and cost-effectiveness. Coordinate with the EHS department to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Communicate any production, quality, or safety issues to senior management. Coach and develop coatings department personnel. Note: This position is not related to powder coating.
