Overview:
The successful Coax Splicer candidates must have extensive knowledge of cable splicing and installation procedures and techniques.
The candidates should be leaders both in the field and in the office and should embody our company values.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for reporting daily production
Responsible for completing paperwork for individual projects weekly for billing including as-builts for customers as needed
Climb utility poles, ladders or utilize manlifts or bucket trucks to install, splice, test and/or trouble shoot coax cable network
Assists with overflow work as needed
Follows all company policies and procedures
Strictly adheres to company safety policies for vehicles, equipment, etc.
Take direction from team leadership
Interact professionally with the public and customer representatives
Ability to travel overnight as required
Able to drive bucket truck
Work at heights
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Coax splicing, testing and trouble-shooting experience
Can tune amplifiers by setting PADS and Equalizers to the appropriate levels per the network design
Efficiently Sweep the DOCSIS network to identify areas in the plant that need repaired
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to work long and unpredictable hours in all types of weather
Pass a pre-employment background check, have an acceptable motor vehicle license report and pass a drug screen
Ability to read prints and splicing diagrams
Ability to distinguish colors and utilize the communications color code standards
Ability to climb poles or use a bucket truck as needed
Able to lift/carry 50 lbs.

Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas
Must be eligible to legally work in the United States (E-Verify)
Preferred Qualifications:
CDL would be a big plus for this position
