Description: Remote Opportunity The Coding Educator/Trainer is responsible for conducting coding and billing training to physicians, coders, and other interested personnel, including developing the curriculum and training materials, and assessing competency.
Performs quality assurance reviews/audits with appropriate feedback.
Monitors coding and billing regulations to assure compliance with governmental and payer regulations.
Acts as a resource to PNO staff regarding coding issues.
Job Duties: Provide on-going coding education to physicians, administrators, EPIC EMR staff and PNO coding staff.
Review documentation by various levels of providers for compliant billing of professional services.
Research and respond to complex coding and billing questions for physicians, administrators and coding staff.
Provide initial on-boarding documentation education for all new providers.
Monitor new provider coding and billing activities for compliance and report findings back to the new providers and administration as necessary.
Assist the Director of Revenue Integrity and the Coding Operations Managers as assigned to meet department goals by preparing and presenting educational programs related to new coding and billing guidelines and opportunities to physicians, clinical providers and coders.
Conduct audits as needed to assist with development of educational tools
Participate in annual corporate initiated physician reviews by performing audits of documentation for providers identified for review and providing feedback and education as needed on the findings.
Other duties as assigned to assist with the fulfillment of department initiatives and goals.
Minimum Education :
Required: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
Preferred: Bachelors Degree

Minimum Experience: Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience
