JOB SUMMARY: This person will be an active participant in Chubb International's financial cycles, including forecasts and accounting close, assisting in the development of management reporting. Automation of routine tasks to streamline our financial processes is at the heart of our finance transformation effort, and this person is expected to identify opportunities to leverage technology and be an active participant in implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a student participating in a first co-op with Chubb International FP&A, you will have responsibilities consistent with those assigned to a new college graduate:
Own the development of key management information reports (top line reporting, P&Ls).Own development and analysis of assigned parts of the monthly executive reporting deck.Support Finance transformation processes by actively identifying and developing automation solutions through TM1 (our financial reporting database), Alteryx, PAW (our reporting system).Be an advocate for leveraging technology throughout the COG Finance organization.QUALIFICATIONS COMPETENCIES: Analytical Thinking: Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue; determining its significance; collecting data; using appropriate tools to disclose meaningful patterns in the data; making inferences about the meaning of the data; and using logic and intuition to arrive at conclusions or decisions.Initiative: Willingly does more than is required or expected in the job; eager and willing to go the extra mile in terms of time and effort; is self-motivated and seizes opportunities to make a difference.Results Orientation: Effectively executes on plans, drives for results and takes accountability for outcomes; perseveres and does not give up easily in challenging situations; recognizes and capitalizes on opportunities; takes full accountability for achieving (or failing to achieve) desired results.Detail Oriented: Understands the importance of accuracy and quality when working with executive level reporting and takes this to heart with everything you do.
