Viking Client Services, a leading debt recovery agency that provides claims management and collection services to high profile clients across the country is currently seeking a Collections Team Manager for our Eden Prairie headquarters to work on-site and remote.
As a Collections Team Manager you will manage daily functions as it pertains to billing and/or collections to optimize effectiveness and achieve goals.
Provide leadership resulting in positive employee relations, teamwork, and efficiency; effectively manage staff to ensure that performance standards are set and measured, continuous training and development of staff is provided on multiple verticals such as financial services, subrogation, auto, medical, etc.,
Responsibilities include:
? Manage daily functions as it pertains to billing and/or collections to optimize effectiveness and achieve goals.
? Provide leadership resulting in positive employee relations, teamwork, and efficiency.
? Effectively manage staff to ensure that performance standards are met, measured, and continuous training and development of staff is provided.
? Distribute accounts/claims to staff, address complaints from consumers and prepare accounts to be closed.
? Prepare, post and monitor team goals.
? Keep informed of new federal/state laws and regulations.
Monitor compliance.
? Develop professionalism through employee involvement and encourage/develop employee creativity.
? Evaluate employee performance to determine needs for improvement, which will include conducting performance evaluations.
Communicate to employees when performance deficiencies occur in accordance with company practice and procedure.
? Monitor attendance of employees.
Review all requested time off and approve where appropriate.
Handle other personnel administrative functions.
? Maintain records, schedules, logs as needed.
? Conduct employee and group meetings to update employees and answer questions.
Resolve employee conflicts, concerns and complaints in accordance with company principles.
? Ensure proper communication between all employees within the team.
? Effectively deal with job related stress.
? Keep informed on multiple client verticals such as financial services, subrogation, auto, medical, etc.,
? Collection software knowledge and ability to train new and existing employees
? Collection phone system knowledge as well as ACI click to dial to utilize with performance objectives and ability to train new and existing employees
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
Education: Associates degree and/or equivalent experience.
Experience: At least 2 years within a billing and/or collections industry; 1 year previously in a lead or supervisory role.
Other Skills: Interpersonal/leadership skills to motivate and lead a staff of 10–20 employees.
Hands on management approach with a strong sense of the collection industry.
Leadership and communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas, direct, motivate and train staff.
Self-motivated with effective organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
