The Syracuse Team at Harris Beach is in search of a Collector to collect money judgments through the utilization of judgment enforcement mechanisms available to judgment creditors. You will thrive in this role if you have: 2+ years of office experience; collections background in legal environment preferredAssociates degree or equivalent work experience preferredExtreme attention to detail and accuracySound judgment and a sense of accountability for working independently and proactivelyStrong verbal and written communication, client service, and listening skillsThe Collector will be responsible for communicating with debtors, clients, sheriffs, and courts regarding recovery. Do you have the drive and desire to: Conduct searches for debtors and their assetsDetermine when files are not collectable or require further action from attorneyMaintain accurate file records and consistently perform file review processOrder various reports relative to collections proceedingsSkiptrace to obtain addresses on new files as neededPrepare settlement documents and/or repayment plansPrepare various enforcement documents for recoveryPrepare payoffs for debtors and third partiesPrepare status reports for clientsAssist with other duties as neededHarris Beach recognizes everyone has a right to be included.
