Overview: This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
This position is responsible for the oversight of the maintenance, operation, and strategic management of our locomotive fleet. Coordinates and monitors rail locomotive maintenance activities of the fleet, including inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance. Collaborates and maintains strong working relationships with external suppliers and vendors to procure necessary services and parts to support fleet operations. Works interdepartmentally with Sales, Customer Service, Documentation, Finance, Risk, and Legal to ensure the bank successfully meets its corporate goals.
Responsibilities: Locomotive Fleet Maintenance – Manage Rail's Locomotive Fleet maintenance requirements in compliance with Association of American Railroad and Department of Transportation rules and regulations, as well as CIT standards.Supplier and Vendor Management – Collaborates and maintains strong working relationships with external suppliers and vendors to procure necessary services, and at times parts, to support locomotive fleet operations.Customer Relationships – Manages and maintains customer relationships by knowing and understanding customer needs and requirements to deliver and maintain locomotives to a customer satisfactory experience.Interdepartmental Communication – Works interdepartmentally with Sales, Customer Service, Documentation, Finance, Risk and Legal to ensure the company successfully meets its corporate goals.Regulatory Compliance – Stays abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to locomotive fleet operations, ensuring full compliance and adherence to safety protocols and environmental operations. Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Rail Mechanical or Engineering Environment specific to Locomotives

High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Rail Mechanical or Engineering Environment specific to Locomotives.
Required Experience:
Locomotive Mechanical ExperienceWell versed in MS Office Suite, including Excel.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's DegreeStrong Organizational skills, Deadline oriented, and takes Initiative.Understanding of policies and procedures.Ability to work independently and with a team.If hired in Illinois, the base pay for this position is generally between $70,000 and $80,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
