Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Kitchen Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, and performing general maintenance. Refrigeration knowledge is a plus. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to help in all areas of maintenance when needed.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and inspections of commercial kitchen equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.Install new equipment according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper alignment, connectivity, and operational efficiency.Maintain accurate records of service, parts usage, and equipment status for reporting.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site or in the workshop.Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate repairs, parts orders, and service schedules.Qualifications: Proven experience as a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced service environment.Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, including but not limited to gas and electric appliances, HVAC systems, and plumbing fixtures, and refrigeration.Technical proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.Familiarity with reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure thorough documentation and efficient service delivery.Completion of technical school program in HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or related field.Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical school program in HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, or a related field is required.Relevant certifications such as CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association), EPA, or similar credentials are a plus.
